Q: What areas do you service?

A: They Poop We Scoop provides pet waste removal in Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Lewes, Milton, Milford, Georgetown, Ellendale, Millsboro and Long Neck.  Please see our service area map higher up this page.  Note: we do on occasion offer service outside this area, for a higher rate based on distance.  If you live outside this area, please feel free to inquire.

Q: How will I be billed?

A: Payment for pooper scooper service must be made in 4 week (28 day) increments, prior to service. For new customers, the base rate of initial cleaning must also be prepaid. Any additional 15 minute increment charges from your initial service will be invoiced to you. There is no contract to sign. Payment by credit card via our secure online portal is preferred, but we also accept cash or personal checks.

Q: What do you do with my credit card info?

A: Your credit/debit card info is stored on a secured server by our payment processor. They Poop We Scoop does not have access to your payment info at any time.

Q: Do you offer any discounts or have any promotions?

A: Yes! New customers who prepay 3 months in advance receive $25 OFF their first bill. New or existing customers who prepay 6 months in advance receive $50 OFF. We also have a referral program. If you refer a new customer to us, you will receive a $25 credit to your next bill. We may also offer other promotions from time to time.

Q: What is your weather policy?

A: We offer dog poop clean up service year round. We work in light rain, but may have to cancel a service due to inclement weather (thunderstorms, excessive rain, heavy snow, etc), or extreme cold or heat. We generally do not offer any credit or refund for these cancellations, as we will have twice as much waste to pick up on the next week's visit. We may also have to cancel a service if there is significant snow cover such that it would be very difficult to find the poop. Service schedules may be adjusted due to holidays.

Q: How do I cancel my pooper scooper service?

A: Simply contact us to pause or cancel your service at least 24 hours beforehand. Please note we do not offer refunds for unused service in the event of cancellation.

Q: Do I need to be home during service?

A: You do not need to be home during service unless you want to, as long as we can access the the area to be cleaned, so please leave any gates unlocked for us. If you want to, you can provide us with a key or gate code to access your yard. We do not climb any fences, etc, for liability reasons. If we can't access your yard we will give you a call and can wait up to 20 minutes for you, but otherwise we will return for your next scheduled service. In this event, we do not offer any refund, as we will have twice as much poop to scoop next time.  

Q: Can my dog(s) be in the backyard during my service?

A: We love meeting new furry friends! However, if your dog may be territorial or aggressive, has a history of biting, or may try to run away when we enter, we will ask you to keep them inside during service. If we cannot make contact with you to bring your dog in, we will return on your next scheduled service (see policy in above question). If your pup acts threatening we may also ask you to bring them inside or return for your next scheduled service. We love all dogs, but we don't want to be bitten!

Q: How do you dispose of the poop?

A: We collect the waste in plastic bags, double bag them, and leave them in your garbage can. If you don't have an outside garbage can, we can leave the bag in a designated location for you. We can also take the waste with us for a small additional fee. We always diligently sanitize all our equipment and shoes between each customer, so as to minimize any risk of disease transfer between pets.
